Work tirelessly.  In today’s Gospel, Jesus heals the mother-in-law of Simon Peter.  For us to appreciate this little incident, let us contextualize this healing miracle within Jesus’ broader ministry:  Often, Jesus preached in the northern towns of the Sea of Galilee, which included Capernaum.  At the end of the day, Jesus would dine and spend the night in the home of a friend or benefactor.  Whenever he ministered in Capernaum, he would have spent the night with Peter and his family, which included his mother-in-law and Andrew his brother.

IFUGAO KAPE
The name Ifugao was derived from the word Ipugo. It means “people on earth” (as opposed to the “deities of the Skyworld”). Ifugao mythology narrates that Kabbigat and Bugan, the first parents of Ifugao people, were brought down to earth by their father Wigan from the Skyworld. They stayed in the fertile valley called Kay-ang along Ibulao river, and had five mortal children. They multiplied and populated the Ifugao world.

'Pedring,' 'Quiel' death toll hits 102 - NDRRMC

The death toll from Typhoons Pedring (Nesat) and Quiel (Nalgae) rose to 102 early Monday morning, while the damage to property breached the P15-billion mark, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.
