Through the help of our mission partners, we distributed rice packs to 1,500 families in the lakeshore areas of Biñan, Calamba, and Sta. Rosa, Laguna last August 5–6. Priority was given to the most vulnerable sectors: senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children accompanied by their parents.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners—the John J. Carroll Institute on Church and Social Issues and the Community Organizers Multiversity of Laguna—as well as local partner organizations: Pederasyon ng mga Maralitang Mamamayan ng Biñan (PMMB), Samahan ng mga Mangingisda at Kababaihan ng Sinalhan, Caingin at Aplaya (SAMAKA-SICAP) of Sta. Rosa, and the Federation for Unity and Action in the City of Calamba (FUACC), all working under the Bahanggunihan Lake and River Network.
