Diocese of Gumaca Feeds Dioceses in Greater Metro Manila With 6+ Tons of Kamote

Through your generous donations, TYFI  rescued 6,449 kilos of Camote from Quezon farmers through the coordination of Fr John Paraon and Fr Christopher Parraba of the Diocese of Gumaca. The Dioceses of Cubao, Pasig, Novaliches, and Antipolo, the Archdiocese of Manila, and the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service will each receive 1 Ton of Camote for distribution to various parishes and the persons deprived of liberty. As we begin the season of Lent in this Jubilee Year of Hope, we humbly share with you the "fruits of our labor" last year. With deep gratitude to all our donors, mission partners, and volunteers, we disbursed almost P80M assistance to more than 500 barangays/communities nationwide covering all our program clusters: Children's Basic Needs; Education and Formation; Relief and Rehabilitation; Environment and Livelihood; and Care for the Elderly and Infirm.

Typhoon-Affected Kids and Families in Cam Sur Received Assistance

With the successive typhoons that hit Naga City and Camarines Sur in the last quarter of 2024, TYFI collaborated with Ateneo de Naga University in distributing relief packs. For our final tranche of donations, we provided thousands of kids and families in Camarines Sur with Rice Packs, School Bags, School Supplies, and Slippers. We thank ADNU's Center for Community Development & Office of Student Affairs, our donors, volunteers, and mission partners.

P100k Worth of Food Packs Distributed to 200 Typhoon-Affected Families in Northern Samar

TYFI responded to the appeal of Sr Lydia Collado, RSCJ, and collaborated with the Sacred Heart Institute for Transformative Education Inc. (SHIFT), the mission of the Society of the Sacred Heart (RSCJ) in Northern Samar, to send assistance to typhoon Pepito-affected families last December. Our Christmas for Others project in Northern Samar covered 200 families in Brgy Dona Lucia, Mondragon, Northern Samar. Thanks to our donors, volunteers, mission partners, and the RSCJ Northern Samar community.
