Rice Packs for 250 Families in Brgy Fairview, QC

On July 25, 2025, our mission partner, the Cathedral Shrine and Parish of the Good Shepherd (Novaliches), received 200 sacks of 25kg rice from TYFI—a gift of hope in the midst of hardship. The first tranche of the distribution, reported on August 13, 2025, brought much-needed relief to 247 families in Caloocan City.

Now, in the second tranche, another 250 families in Brgy. Fairview—including those in Sitio Jaguar and Sitio Bagong Barrio—have received rice packs. Among them were evacuees temporarily sheltered at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Evacuation Center, one of the hardest-hit areas during the recent typhoons and flooding. For these families, each sack of rice meant not just food, but comfort, dignity, and the assurance that they are not alone.

We thank our mission partners, volunteers, and donors whose compassion continues to turn generosity into nourishment, and kindness into hope.

Buffet in the Evacuation Center—Why Not?

Part of the rice sacks and vegetables received by Ina ng Lupang Pangako Parish was shared with the Vincentian Foundation, who turned them into hot, nourishing meals for 1,600 evacuees in Bagong Silangan, Quezon City during the height of the rains and flooding. The buffet-style feeding brought smiles and comfort to many, with evacuees expressing heartfelt gratitude.

Our deepest thanks to our mission partners, donors, and volunteers who made this possible!
